For the Wolvinnen, all lights are green. With one game to go in the championship of the 1e nationale, the players from La Louvière are certain of their place in the Super League next season. As second, behind OHL B and ahead of Anderlecht B, RAAL Women has mathematically secured their place in the highest class. Although the team of Mickaël Iannitto cannot become champions anymore, they cannot be overtaken by Olsa Brakel, the last candidate for promotion (nvdr: B-teams cannot be promoted to a higher league). In the best case, the players from the Easi Arena will finish second. Sportively ready for the step up, the Greens are also waiting for the green light from the Licensing Committee to obtain the administrative ticket for the highest level. Like the men's team, which has obtained its professional and European license, the women's department can also compete at the highest level of Belgian football. A nice reward for the work done by RAAL La Louvière over the past few years to develop women's football in the region. After the win against Club Brugge B last weekend (1-2), the coach was visibly pleased with the promotion on the pitch: “With this win, we have achieved our season's goal: we promote sportively to the Super League”, he said. “We feel very satisfied. Congratulations to the players! All the credit goes to them. We also want to thank the club for letting us work in excellent conditions.” On Saturday, on the last game day of the season, the Wolvinnen will receive Anderlecht in the Easi Arena. “We want to finish in style. It's especially our wish that everyone can enjoy the party. Last year, we became champions and this season, we have been constantly in the top three, which shows that the club is growing, also in women's football.” There are still nice moments on the agenda for La Louvière. On May 30, the final of the Belgian Cup will be played in the stadium of RAAL. Anderlecht will take on Zulte Waregem, the team of Audrey Demoustier. This is a nice warm-up for her, as she will become the new coach of the Wolvinnen in the Super League at the start of the 2026-2027 season. While there is still one game on the agenda, work is being done behind the scenes to prepare for the next season. In addition to the technical staff (where Demoustier will be assisted by Iannitto), the core is also taking shape. Charlotte Catinus and Sharmel Libotte have extended their contracts, as has Marie Bougard. In addition, Marion Fiévez, Rose Mafuta, and Véda Vanpassel, all three trained at the club, have been promoted to the A-core. With this promotion to the Super League, RAAL La Louvière does not want to stop. The ambitions remain high. President Salvatore Curaba has already set the next goal: to play European football and have the Champions League anthem ring out in the Easi Arena. As Ludovic Lo Brutto, operational director of RAAL Women, explains: “This promotion has a direct and positive impact on the training, with the opening of elite categories for young players. At the same time, talent is actively sought, both for the youth teams and for the A-team of RAAL Women.”
