RAAL La Louviere is back in the Jupiler Pro League. The team of Salvatore Curaba and Frédéric Taquin has made an impressive rise since the takeover of the matricule 94 in 2017.
How did it come to this?
RAAL La Louviere has existed since July 1, 2017, when Salvatore Curaba took over the matricule 94. This matricule was previously owned by Racing Charleroi Couillet Fleurus.
The rise of La Louvière
Frédéric Taquin was appointed as head coach and led the team to four promotions in six seasons. In 2024, La Louvière reached the Challenger Pro League and in 2025 the Jupiler Pro League.
The new stadium
During this rise, a new stadium was also built, the Easi Arena, which is located next to the Tivoli. This stadium was inaugurated when La Louvière returned to the Jupiler Pro League.
